This is why I think 95% of normalfag developers don't give a fuck if their shit doesn't work in a tiling environment. But I've been using i3wm for years and I am still quite satisfied. I have several virtual machines with different Linux flavors and also windowses, and I honestly like compositing wms less. On the other hand I've used them for years before I moved to tiling, so I can use either without major issues in terms of comfiness.

It's extremely stable, the only issue I ever had was gimp being recognised as updated when it was still on version 2, I just had to reinstall it to properly have version 3. Using 'indicator cpufreq' to cap the max CPU clock to 500mhz while doing light tasks like reading PDFs also boosts the battery tremendously and make the laptop be comfy enough to used on the lap without getting 3rd degree burns laugh

I was basically trying to see if I can outlast MacBooks of my colleagues and not have to carry the 2 kilo brick of a charger eww
