Have you ever played DDLC before? SayoREE 02/09/2024 (Fri) 23:28:36 No. 650 [Reply]
If not, it's free on Epic. Not a big fan of plus edition since it's just fanservice intended but 10 bucks is 10 bucks, you know.

Is Sakuya a good main in Hisoutensoku when I'm new to fighting games?

If you are playing with friends it doesn't matter much what character you choose as long as it suits you. I use Komachi and Yuyuko the most
>>
The question shouldn't be about if Sakuya is good for a fightan beginner, but if Soku if a good game for beginners
>>
(not tohou) gamedev here, are there any complaints you have about soku? weather rng-wise, fighter design -wise... or is everything as good as an anime-styled 2d fighter can get?
>>
>>1434 I personally dislike the cards/deck system the most, weather is somewhat fine even if i'd prefer not to have it. Soku is just not a friendly game for someone who don't play fighting games due to its insane amount of uncommon mechanics and resource management. For instance the guard system is an headache to learn, because on top of understanding the low/high from traditional fightan, you also have to understand how it ties to the orbs system and border escape.

If you are on an x86 mac (before M series) then all you need is probably WINE. If you are on an M series mac, your CPU is an ARM cpu and so WINE by itself is not enough. In this case I don't know if it's possible, I guess you can look up "wine on m series mac" or "wine on arm mac".
>>
>>1097 You can with Whisky but it will likely run poor - I ran touhou 6 with it and the backgrounds lagged the game quite bad https://getwhisky.app/

just get crossover it works fine with that

Does anyone play Rain World? Trust me guys its a fun game, it might be a lot difficult, its awesome. If you haven't tried it, you should, its awesome, i dont want to explain EVERYTHING about it, but if you want to play this game blind i suggest not watching videos or listen to me. Welp let me explain what Rain World is, Rain World is a game where you play as a omnivorus slug cat in a broken ecosystem who has been seperated from their family. You might find animals such as Bat Flies and other creatures, but you have to survive dangerous predators such as lizards and vultures, aggresive scavengers, etc. Now this game not gonna lie has the most impressive AI ive ever seen, i mean... Have you seen the scavengers? They can trade, they can throw spears and etc. If you wanna see more of this game i suggest just play the game or watch a video in depth of the game and its flora and fauna. I got it on my Xbox One X, its only $24.99 USD on my xbox. Just play it, its awesome.

Rain World is an incredible game both gameplay-wise and lore-wise. There is no game anywhere close to what Rain World is, it's crazy. The strong inspiration on Buddhism is also a very strong plus that adds to the depth of the game and the messages it transmits

ULTRAKILL Anonymous 02/08/2025 (Sat) 20:14:30 No. 979 [Reply]
Are any hikarins ultrakill gamers?
>>
I am not but is that a character from that game? I saved a bunch of fanart of her accidentally because I mistook her for other bunnies.
>>
>>980 I think its a drawing of v1 as a bunnt (v1 is an ultrakill character)

I like ultrakill its a very decent game. If you are hyperactive then ultrakill is a shooter that will keep up with your pace and demand. It's a difficult game but flexible on difficulty. There are multiple difficulty levels and also aim assist adjustment so you can take it easy and then progressively become better. I hit my skill ceiling probably, I can perfect minos prime in standard but I don't know if I will get much better than that now

ive become incredibly fascinated by old freeware games with a weird vibe(i.e yume nikki, ib, etc) and i really want to find more of it. anyone know of any websites where i can find this sort of thing? they don't have to be in english or anything lol. id prefer to source them from equally weird websites but i know itch.io has quite a few of these type of games. thanks in advance pic unrelated, he's my emotional support Gordon

I was exited when I heard about it, but I wish they tried experimenting with the setting a bit more. A dark metropolis theme like they did in Miitopias New Lumos would be great to switch things up.

what makes a good mmo for you? what some mmos do right and other don't? what is the main thing you like about mmos?

>>712 Most mmos I've played were pretty good for me but each requires a specific mood.. I played: 1. Everquest p1999 - I liked it a lot and players tend to engage with each other often as soloing is very hard and there is no party finder. The world is interesting and has a lot of atmosphere. Quest system is fun. The gameplay is mainly consists of killing monsters, which I found fun too, especially when I leveled up a bit. Punishing death system is pretty cool too, u lose experience and levels when u die and have to pick up all your loot from your body. Ping was pretty bad for me. 2. WoW Retail and Classic - Retail I found too fast and endgame centered, I didn't play it much. Classic is very very good, its difficult but at the same time pretty relaxed, the world is very enjoyable to explore and questing is fun. Players are cool and u end up engaging with someone pretty often, no party finder too. A bit easier than p1999 but more varied. 3. FFIVX - Fun but shares retail wow problem, u are expected to just charge through the main story up to the latest expansion. I believe you don't even have to complete a single sidequest or move a metre out of your way to explore. So for hundreds of hours the main quest is the onbly meaningful progression activity to do. And it's basically solo all the time, there are not many activites that would require players to team up. Although if u aren't bothered by all that there is still a lot of fun stuff to do around. And the story is very good. Dungeons are very cool too. 4. Project Gorgon - one of my favourites. It's got an unusual style and is still in development but it's very fun and there's a lot to do. Its' skill system is very unique, every item you find in the world is needed for something. The combat system is pretty cool too, you can combine two of any skill trees together, like shield and sword, or weather witching + animal handling, and it opens up a lot of different playstyles and all are viable. The loot system is kind of diablo-like, you get gear with random enchantments that reinforce your skills in some way, which is fun. The quests are very funny in terms of writing. There is a whole lot of different activities, and if u are bored doing something you can switch to something completely different at any time. The world itself has many fun mechanics to it, exploring it is very satisfying, Soloing is possible but the game encourages you to team up with others. But even outside of combat I would often find myself talking to someone because players likely have something for each other all the time, even if they are of very different levels. There is a lot more to talk about but im tired. I have played more mmos than that but I'll probably post about them later

5. Guild Wars 2 – It's cool and has a really nice atmosphere. The views are beautiful, and the combat system is complex and fun, your skills change depending on the weapon you use. Exploration feels meaningful and rewarding, and the questing is enjoyable. I didn’t play a lot, but it felt a bit too easy and fast for me. Still I think there’s a lot of fun to be had 6. TES: O - It's good but plays a lot like ffXIV in the sense that it often feels like a singleplayer game. Quests are very good. The combat is pretty simple. I didn't play it much but I want to someday. 7. Mabinogi – I really liked it. It’s probably the closest thing we have to an isekai-style mmo. There are tons of fun life skills, even drawing. The combat is fun, though not super complex. There’s a lot of variety in everything, and it’s rare to find two players with the same build or appearance. I just wish there was a classic version of the game. Right now it suffers from heavy railroading you’re expected to go through a really long (like 20hour) tutorial that gives you a ton of boosts, instantly unlocks skills you originally had to discover, and levels them up super fast. Back in the day you had to put in effort to reach that point. Still, it’s fun to play, and the later parts are challenging and engaging. Unfortunately the ping in Europe is over 300ms 8. Black Desert – this might actually be one of my favorites too. The world is vast and really fun to explore, and it looks nice. The story and quests are pretty simple but still enjoyable. The combat system is great, I never got bored of it and it only gets more complex and fun as you progress. The grind is satisfying even if it’s a bit repetitive, 99% of PvE is basically running in circles killing groups of monsters. Unfortunately there’s very little group content. Progression is fun but tough. You have to enhance your gear sometimes risking destruction. If you get tired of fighting, lifeskilling is detailed and fun and you can do it without fighting anything at all. It’s a very relaxing game overall, though not very social since there’s little reason to talk to others but you can still find people to chat with. I wish there was more variety in builds, gear and character appearance, because players often look and act exactly the same.
