it depends on the university itself, if you're going to an ivy league then you'd find it full of theory, which is beautiful but so challenging and unpractical but if you went to a john university you'd do some combination of hopefully modern development courses and gradate. but you need to familiarize yourself first with creating somewhat big programming projects if you wanna do well but wherever you go, the hardest thing about a CS degree imo is dealing with unnecessary courses that bloat your schedule

I want to talk about horror media that is sourced from the internet. Not necessarily full-release movies or well-known published games. I'm thinking more analog horror, creepy videos, horror flash/indie games, even stuff like the SCP foundation falls under this category. Bonus points for more niche stuff or media you consider internet history. Starting this thread off with this video. I love this one, I am a huge huge fan of atmospheric horror and I think this is a great example of such.

Do hikarins play chess? I started playing earlier this week on chess.com and it has taken over my brain. Winning games makes you feel very smart and cool. shades

I'm pretty bad at it but I can't stop playing. Struggling to visualize checkmates and I don't fully understand why you'd use different openings over the other, but all things considered I've been learning pretty quick.

Welcome newkarin! The site is pretty self-explanatory, but I will highlight some fun things we have that are maybe not as common as other sites. For one, you can draw an image on-site on any post using the Tegaki button in a thread (the pencil under the new reply/new thread form). The Oekaki board is specifically for art but you can use the Tegaki feature on any board happy

. You can also make polls or embed Youtube videos with the buttons next to it. We have a textboard, /dis/, that is an interesting feature but unfortunately not used much. so maybe give it some love. There are also some styling features to give your posts some charm. Enjoy your stay! yukkuri
